SUNY Oneonta's Computer Art Lab Tour - Sven Anderson
Our own Sven Anderson, assistant professor of art at SUNY Oneonta, took us on a hands-on tour of the Computer Art lab on April 2. Attendees were able to try out the amazing new Wacom Cintiq drawing tablets, which let you draw right on the screen with a pressure sensitive stylus, and see demos of Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Corel Painter.
Many thanks to Sven for a fascinating and informative program.

Terry Does Taxes - Terry Helser
On Wednesday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m., Terry Helser introduced us to Lassiter’s TaxAct, Intuit’s TurboTax and H&R Block’s TaxCut software and gave a review of the pros and cons of each program, along with tips on filing electronically and what to expect if you are audited (Sven Anderson chimed in with some very interesting insights on this issue).
We rounded out the evening with Brian Foley's discussion of social networking sites and the online form that he has posted for program requests and member feedback
The meeting featured our usual question and answer session, refreshments (delicious chocolate chip walnut cookies baked by Wanda Helser) and a door prize drawing for members.
